Frannie AdamsWellesley College Class of 2021
Frannie (she/her) was born and raised in Roxbury, MA. She majors in Environmental Studies (ES) and minors in Economics, and she will also graduate with an unofficial minor in Africana Studies. She has felt very connected to earth and nature as a kid and was excited to engage with the interdisciplinary nature of ES throughout her undergraduate studies. In Spring 2021, she will use R to analyze a time series of NOAA fish and invertebrate surveys to assess if biodiversity hotspots along the North American coast shift or remain stable during species turnover. Outside of academics, she loves growing and tending to her plants, singing and playing guitar, and going to the beach in any weather. |

Celia MundtWellesley College Class of 2023
Celia (she/her) is planning to major in biology and minor in Chinese. She was drawn to biology and marine ecology because of her experiences growing up in Connecticut with many dogs and regularly visiting local aquariums. She is interested in attending veterinary school after graduation, and hopes to become either an aquatic or small animal veterinarian. In her free time, she likes to bake and cook, and especially loves to spend time with her two Newfoundland dogs. |
Kyaralind VasquezWellesley College Class of 2023
My name is Kyaralind Vasquez (KEE-ARR-uh-lind VAS-kez); pronouns are she/her/hers. I am from Boston, Massachusetts, and identify as Afro-Latina. Three words that best describe me are: spirited, dedicated, and organized. If I had to choose a favorite place, it would be mother nature. I aspire to make a difference in the fight to protect our oceans from imminent climate change threats by embarking on projects that focus on fostering an understanding of the ocean and its underlying physical mechanisms. I hope to eliminate the boundaries in science communication by creating accessible and digestible research and sharing resources in underserved communities. Upon receiving my Ph.D. in Marine Biology, I hope to conduct scientific experiments that benefit both the marine environment and human needs. |
Macy LittellWellesley College Class of 2023
Macy (she/her) is a sophomore from Goodfield, IL majoring in biology. Although she grew up surrounded by cornfields, Macy has always loved the water and the creatures that call it home. After college, she would like to continue doing research in marine biology and be an educator at a research station. In Illinois, Macy works as a zoo educator‒ teaching classes, planning camps, and handling animals. While not in class or in the lab, Macy can often be found in the art studio, listening to true crime podcasts, or playing board games with friends. |
